Nauvoo House Stock Certificate Nauvoo House Stock Certificate

By revelation to Joseph Smith, recorded in the 124th Section of the Doctrine and Covenants, he was commanded to build the Nauvoo House at Nauvoo, IL.  He was instructed, in the revelation, to form a committee and issue stock certificates in the amount of no less than $50.  A number of certificates were issues and sold.  They have become a very rare Mormon collectible and are eagerly sought after.  The above certificate is # 176, signed by John Snider and Bp.
