     I have known Stan Barker, founder and owner of Mormon Memorabilia, for the better part of decade and know him to be an honest and trustworthy person and very informed about the kinds of publications posted on the site.

     Book lovers abhor two things: 1) people who burn books or discard them with the trash and 2) people who store books on a shelf or in a basement without ever reading them. Each year, as my personal library grows, I find less and less time to return to books I have already read and from which I have extracted gems. As I near retirement (not yet, but still on the horizon), I have come to realize that I have to narrow my focus and find a good home for some of the books that have given me pleasure in the past. Over the past few years, I have donated more than a thousand books to family members, research libraries, and Deseret Industries. In some cases, I fear they will not be appreciated or read. After all, how much value can one place on a book that cost nothing or was purchased at DI for under a dollar? The real book lovers are the ones who will invest more than a few coins in the purchase of a desired volume. That is why I have decided to place some of my Latter-day Saint works on MormonMemorabilia, where serious readers and collectors can purchase them. I just wanted to write a few lines and let y'all know what a wonderful experience I had with Mormon Memorabilia.  Stan Barker is very pleasant to deal with and quite knowledgeable. His e-mail replies are fast and helpful.  I found his site by surfing while searching for some very hard to find LDS conference reports.  Not only did he have the ones I needed for my friend, his prices were GREAT! Much less then I expected to pay and the books were in very good condition.  Now my friend has one of the few complete collections of these reports!      --------Susan, Preston, ID
